SAILING/SURFING WATER ACTIVITES
Newton Abbot is only a 10 –15 minute drive from the sea and the port at Teignmouth. Ships come in to the docks at Teignmouth and there are a variety of small craft moored there.
South Devon Discovery Surf School offers professional coaching all year for all ages. Equipment you need is available for hire.
South Sands Sailing at Salcombe is within easy reach of Newton Abbot. Here you can hire kayaks and catamarans. There are sailing lessons and the courses available are for both adults and children.
Mountain Water Experience is at Kingsbridge which is approx ¾ hour drive from Newton Abbot. Here there is coaching in the art of kayaking and Canadian canoeing. There are many other water and land based activities on offer, such as abseiling, archery and rock climbing
