Description:
ITALIAN MARKET COMES TO NEWTON ABBOT ON FRIDAY 13TH AND SATURDAY 14TH AUGUST

Italia in Piazza, a popular Italian market, has been invited to Newton Abbot to add a continental flavour to the shopping experience. Located around the clock tower in the town centre from 9.30 until 5pm,  Italia in Piazza will be joining Newton Abbot’s own successful, vibrant market and retailers.
Sitting alongside our own mouth-watering local offerings in the Indoor Market and Market Walk, will be a wonderful selection of genuine Italian products, which will satisfy all Italian food lovers and gourmets.  There will be a wide variety of foods on sale including a vast array of cheeses and cured meats, a wonderful selection of the classic Cremona Torrone (nougat), cakes, sweets and a variety of biscuits. The market will feature a variety of olive oils, balsamic vinegars and a selection of olives as well as different shapes and sizes of pasta and speciality breads.

Simon Faro, Managing Director of Italia in Piazza says, 'Our market is unique because it's wholly owned by my partners and me. This means that we ensure high quality produce that is sold with professional advice’.

Sally Henley, the Town Development Manager for Newton Abbot says:

‘Visiting markets add an extra dimension to the town's vibrancy and local businesses and traders should benefit from the visit of 'Italia in Piazza', which will attract increased footfall to the town. This attraction, which visits many towns throughout the country, has never visited Newton Abbot before and should provide a good draw for shoppers. We have a great market tradition here in Newton Abbot which goes back centuries and which thrives today. People love the unique experience of shopping in our indoor and outdoor markets and I am delighted to welcome the Italian Market, which will be joining our ‘home team’ at the Clock Tower.”
