Description:
The Newton Area Cycling group was formed in March 2003. It aims to encourage, promote and develop cycling in the district.

The group aims to:

* promote & increase cycle use in the area
* to gain improvements to existing cycle routes
* to act as a consultation body
* to provide education on cycling
* to promote an intergrated transport policy
* to encourage more cycle storage facilities
* to provide data for future cycle routes
* to keep both members & others up to date with local & national issues
