Technical Assistant

Reporting to the Technical Team Manager, you will work as part of the technical team on shift.  Working with the production and engineering teams to maintain the high standards of safety, food safety and product quality, which our customers have come to expect from Yeo Valley.
 You will also be trained to carry out organoleptic assessments and chemical/ microbiological testing.
  It is essential that you have:-
 Commitment to food safety
 Understanding of quality assurance
 Enthusiastic and self motivated with plenty of initiative
 Effective communication skills
 Able to influence people to ensure standards are maintained
 A flexible approach to work and working hours
 Well presented and personable
 
Preferred Skills:-
 
Experience in food production environment
 Food hygiene qualification
 Knowledge of the use of the HACCP system
 working 12 hour shifts 4 days on 4 days off 06 – 18hrs
