Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Team Manager to join a team based in Newton
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing the technical team on shift
Working with the production and engineering teams to maintain the high standards of safety, food safety and product quality
The ideal Technical Team Manager will have the following skills and experiences:
Experience in a food production environment
Commitment to food safety
Food Hygiene qualification
Understanding of Quality management systems
Efficient in the basic use of Microsoft Office
Proven personnel management skills
Able to develop and lead an effective team
Effective communicate skills
Willing to work 12 hour shifts 4days on/off
The following skills and experiences are preferred but not essential:
Chilled ‘high care’ experience
Ice cream experience
Qualified in food related subject (OND© or above)
IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ Certificate
Food Hygiene qualification – intermediate or advanced
Applied knowledge of the use of the HACCP system
Knowledge of laboratory duties / environments
A full driving licence
