The Edgemoor started life as a school in 1879, and this historic building oozes atmosphere, with possibly a ghost or two floating around. Sited on the Dartmoor boundary, everything is within easy reach, including the coast 12 miles away and Exeter 15 miles away. Edgemoor is simply fantastically located to take advantage of everything this beautiful part of the country has to offer. The Restaurant The Edgemoor kitchen prides itself on the use of local meat, game and produce - along with fish brought in from the sea daily - in our seasonally changing menu. Should you have any speciality dietary requirements, or purely fancy something a bit different, then please let us know - we would be delighted to provide it for you. With one of the most comprehensive wine and whisky lists in the region, choose from an ever changing collection from around the world - including wines from Devon and Cornwall. Open to all, we recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Rooms 16 charming, luxurious and comfortable bedrooms await you at The Edgemoor. Ranging from single bedrooms to the modern Woodland Wing, they differ in style and character, but all offer the special Edgemoor experience. All bedrooms are en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities and LCD televisions. WiFi available free of charge in most rooms and all common areas.
