Description: Well healed podiatry - What Podiatry can do for you Many people take their feet for granted until they become painful or they develop a problem.  A properly qualified podiatrist/chiropodist will often be able to diagnose and treat minor ailments within feet With proper care and attention painful conditions such as in-growing toenails, craked and dry heels, corns and hard skin can be managed to reduce pain and inflammation. Where pain and discomfort within the feet and legs has no visual cause a biomechanical assessment may be recommended.  This hour-long assessment looks at gait, anatomy and physiology of the legs and feet.  At the end of which a pair of orthotics may be prescribed. Through examination and the most up to date information are utilised in the production of an individual treatment plan. Price List INITIAL ASSESSMENT £24.00 Includes assessment of needs, formulation of treatment plan and any required treatment Home Visits available at £25.00 + mileage FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT £24.00 Usually includes nail care, removal of hard skin and the treatment of corns and massage.  Appointments last between 30 and 45 minutes BIOMECHANICAL ASSESSMENT £35.00 This is a one hour appointment for musculoskeletal assessment SIMPLE INSOLES £15.00 - £45.00 Insoles can help to relieve pain and pressure within the foot, they range from simple devices to more complicated casted insole.
