The Two Moors Way

The Two Moors Way is a long-distance walking route between Ivybridge on the southern edge of Dartmoor and Lynmouth on the North Coast of Exmoor.  This route has detailed waymarkings with the exception of the open moorland sections. This walk is 102 miles (163 km) in length.

This walk links the only two National Parks in southern England, and crosses both of them north-south. 
There is no suprises that you will be passing through countryside of exceptionally quality. You will not only encounter high moorland during some of the Dartmoor and Exmoor sections but also the deep and wooded valleys of the moorland edges and between the moors.  You will also encounter unspoilt rural scenery with a remote and tranquil feel. 

Walking mostly not difficult, but one or two strenuous stretches; some unwaymarked open moorland requiring navigational skills.
